Principal's Message
I want to welcome you to another exciting academic school year!
As you already know, last year we implemented two new programs at Furgeson. We implemented our new 90/10 (Spanish) Dual Immersion Program, where the focus is to develop students to become bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural citizens. Last year, we implemented the program with our TK- 2nd grade students. This year we will be expanding the program to our incoming 3rd grade students.
Another program that we implemented last year was the school wide AVID approach, were the focus was to develop students to become college and career ready. This year we will be focusing on critical thinking with our students.
I am also excited to announce that this year we will be revising our Magnet Program where we will be incorporating communication and technology skills into our current curriculum.
