Anti-Bullying and Harassment Policy

ABC Unified School District Anti-Bullying and Harassment Policy:

The ABC Unified School District prohibits discrimination, harassment, intimidation and bullying based on the actual or perceived characteristics of a person’s disability, gender, gender identify, gender expression, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or association with a person or group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics.  This policy applies to all acts related to school activity or school attendance occurring within a District School.

  • Report bullying or harassment to a counselor, administrator, or other adult personnel on campus
  • Principal or designee shall promptly investigate and provide a report within 10 school days of the reported incident to the person filing the complaint and the accused.  If there is a disagreement with the outcome of the investigation, an appeal can be filed at the District Office (Uniform Complaint Procedure).
  • A transfer request can be requested and obtained from Child Welfare & Attendance located at the District Office.

As required by California State Law, school rules apply not only during school hours, but also before and after school, when traveling to school and back home, and while participating in a school-sponsored activity.  Actual consequences depend on the seriousness of the offense.

EXTRA PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS:  It is the responsibility of the parents whose children participate in the EXTRA After School Program to know and follow the specific rules/policies of that program.  In addition to the EXTRA Program rules, our Furgeson rules apply as well.
